The Heritage of McGuire Furniture:  McGuire Furniture was founded in 1948 by John and Elinor McGuire. Two years later, in 1950, the company was able to perfect the innovative manufacturing process of rattan and rawhide binding. Known for its use of exotic materials such as rattan, the company introduced their first bamboo creation ten years later in the shape of the exclusively patented M-90 Cracked Ice Chair. During the 1970s the company shifted to rattan furniture making, unveiling their handcrafted rattan chair that echoes both the classic and contemporary styles.  The decade of the eighties saw McGuire offering many of what would later become their most popular classics, such as the Laced Rawhide Arm Chair. Collaboration with international designer Orlando Diaz-Azcuy in 1996 allowed the company to enjoy further expansion, through their selection of innovative outdoor and indoor furniture.
