Recognized as an innovator and leader in luxury home furnishings production, J. Robert Scott has been producing signature textile collections and elegant, modern furniture pieces for more than four decades. Combining a handcrafted quality and an enduring versatility in style, the collections of J. Robert Scott are built for today's lifestyle.

The Founding of J. Robert Scott:  J. Robert Scott, a manufacturer of high-end home furnishings, was founded in Los Angeles in 1972 by award-winning designer Sally Sirkin Lewis. Working as a designer has allowed Ms. Lewis to furnish the homes of her clients using her popular "California Design" approach. To continually provide her clients with fine, contemporary furniture, she established J Robert Scott, steering the company through the years to become one of the most competitive players in the worldwide design market today.  Sally Sirkin Lewis currently sits as the President of J. Robert Scott, translating her clean and elegant design philosophy into the fabrics and furniture that exemplify the J. Robert Scott brand.   The furniture pieces are all painstakingly hand-crafted in their California factory, ensuring construction quality and flawlessness in each and every piece. Over the span of her 40 year career, Ms. Lewis has earned more than 150 U.S. Design Patents for her work.  Today the company remains steadfast in their commitment to produce fine furniture in the traditional way.

J. Robert Scott Fabric and Furniture Specialties:  Relying on exceptional quality and minimalist elegance, J. Robert Scott fabrics represent some of the most sought after textile collections worldwide. Endowed with unique textures and characteristics, each fabric is distinctive and sophisticated.  From silks and mohair to leather and weaves, the brand regularly introduces collections ideally suited for an assortment of uses and a variety of environments. These J. Robert Scott textiles are designed for use in upholstery and window treatments or as wall coverings.  A total of 700 fabric choices are available through their signature fabric collections, which are produced by more than 60 mills in 18 countries across the globe.  The customized appeal of J. Robert Scott furniture pieces has made the company a leader in the design and production of beautiful, bespoke furniture. With a complete understanding of how and why furniture is made, the company is able to create "home couture" furnishings that impress and inspire. Through the use of top quality materials and outstanding construction techniques, J Robert Scott has managed to fashion furniture pieces that go beyond expected style and fleeting trends.

Award Winning and World Class:  The founder and president of J. Robert Scott, Sally Sirkin Lewis, earned recognition as one of the 50 Titans of Design selected by the Los Angeles Times Magazine for their May 1, 2011 edition.  Ms. Lewis was the first female designer to open a showroom in 1972, in the design district of Melrose Avenue. The beauty and innovation of J. Robert Scott's furnishings have been featured in design magazines and publications in the U.S. and abroad. On October 2009 the J Robert Scott Ultra Leather on Headboard was featured in Architectural Digest and on March 2010, their beautiful settee fabrics were published in House Beautiful.
