About Dessin Fournir Furntire

Working on a vision that involves beautifully designed products and excellent service, Dessin Fournir is a brand that has retained its legacy of craftsmanship and service in furniture making. Believing that the design community is perpetually in need of authentically beautiful products coupled with uncompromising service, Dessin Fournir Furniture stays true to its vision of beauty, quality, and superior service.

The Story of Chuck Comeau: An art aficionado and a collector of antiques at heart, Charles “Chuck” Comeau never really understood the relevance of an art degree while he lived in rural Kansas. But after earning a degree in petroleum geology and working in the banking, cattle, and oil industries for several years he decided to put Dessin Fournir in 1993. The company produced beautiful interpretations of period furniture, from 18th century European casegoods to 19th century tables and 20th century lounges. Not long after founder Chuck Comeau sent photos of his home interior design project to Architectural Digest, to which the elite magazine expressed immense appreciation. Right then Chuck knew he could make a career out of designing. After establishing a production facility in Los Angeles, the founder used to travel between L.A. and Kansas to oversee operations. The business and production headquarters eventually moved to Plainville, Kansas, where Chuck says the environment is more peaceful and more conducive to productive, creative thinking. Over time Dessin Fournir grew into a veritable brand in designer furniture making, earning the title as one of the top 5 premier home furnishing companies in the United States. Among the big-name clients of the company are Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, and Elton John.

Dessin Fournir Furniture Collections: As a furniture company Dessin Fournir Furniture is committed to quality and service in equal measure. The business strives to offer top-quality designer products along with dedicated attention to client specifications. More than a look or a style, Dessin Fournir Furniture aims to be a reliable and inimitable resource for beautiful furniture and uncompromising quality and service.  The Collections of Dessin Fournir are diverse, including Dessin Fournir Furniture, Gerard, Palmer Hargrave, Kerry Joyce, Classic Cloth, Rose Cumming, Dessin Fournir Leather and Fritsch. A good quantity of Dessin Fournir Furniture pieces are inspired by the classicism and elegance of European design, combining the timelessness of its silhouette and the gracefulness of its execution. While Fournir is inspired by various periods, the company is focused on creating transitional pieces that travel beyond convention, but not without its characteristic elegance and a certain refinement for modern environments. Thoroughly bench made, these artisanal furniture collections are made to reflect superiority in design, versatility in style, and the finest in quality.

Other Collections of Dessin Fournir:  Other collections of Dessin Fournir include Gerard, a collection of 20th century furniture, and Palmer Hargrave, a decorative furnishings company acquired by Fournir in 2000. Kerry Joyce is another collection under Dessin Fournir, which features clean lines and sophisticated South Californian glam. Iron and steel collections are available through the Fritsch brand. The company also carries several decorative and leather fabric brands, namely Classic Cloth, Rose Cumming and Dessin Fournir Leather.
