About Casella Lighting

Casella Lighting is known for artisanal lighting products that reflect a classic and well-established craftsmanship. For more than seven decades Casella Lighting has illuminated the most stunning interiors, from beautiful homes and city buildings to luxurious hotels.

The Casella Lighting Story:  Casella Lighting began more than 75 years ago, creating high-quality lamps using a fine, time-established technique used by the company for more than half of a century. Casella Lamps have always been popular for their functionality and style, and for many years Casella Lighting has consistently produced these lamps for the most stylish residential and commercial interiors. Casella makes sure that they employ only the highest skilled artisans who are expert in the building and assembly of each lamp, following each individual specification requested by customers.  For many decades Casella Lighting has been synonymous to prestige and excellence in design. The company was founded by Alfred J. Casella during the 1930s, first and foremost a family business.  During its earliest years the company was trusted to do commission work with the most elegant private homes, luxurious hotels, and civic buildings, providing innovative lighting designs for these high profile interiors. The collections of Casella Lighting include floor lamps, swing arm wall lamps, sconces, torchiers and other distinctive lighting fixtures. The brand prides itself with the level of craftsmanship reflected in all of their products.  Casella Lighting was acquired by the Bird family in 2001, who have always been friend with the Casella family for long years. The acquisition had included the manufacturing assets and Casella product designs. While the new owners have acquired the company just recently, the long standing relationship that they have maintained with Casella throughout the years ensure that they are able to hold up the kind of artistry that Casella Lighting has always been known for.

Casella Lighting Collections: The lighting collections by Casella are extensive, ranging from head rotating floor lamps to frosted glass torchiers which are available in a range of finishes. The current offerings of Casella Lighting include floor lamps, wall lamps, wall sconces, micro sconces, desk lamps, picture lights, chandeliers, lamp shades, and pharmacy shades. One of the micro sconces from Casella is the Polished Nickel Glenna Micro-Sconce, which features a 50 watt quartz halogen lamp and a frosted glass exterior. The Satin Nickel Four Arm Chandelier is designed by Annalisa Miller and is made up of four 60-watt candelabra and frosted cylinders. The GM Lacquered Gunmetal Isabelle Swing Arm Wall Lamp comes with an electronic dimmer and a square tubing cord cover. Custom finishes available include antique brass, antique bronze, antique pewter, rustic bronze, rustic copper, and many others.

Available Finishes: The available finishes from Casella Lighting are made to complement the look of their lighting products, which are made from materials such as brass, zinc alloy, and copper. Since brass is prone to oxidation when exposed to the elements – which results in a darker, greenish hue - the right finish will render a more beautiful and natural patina as time passes. The different finishes available from Casella Lighting include Lacquered, Waxed, Diamondclad, Oiled, Powder Coat Painted, and Matte. Casella Lighting showrooms are located all over the United States, Canada, and the U.K.
