Buy Schumacher Fabric – Enjoy the geometric fabric trend with Imperial Trellis fabric by Schumacher

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Geometrics are in!  All you have to do is open a shelter magazine these days and you will see pillows, rugs, window treatments and furniture in geometric patterns that range from a crisp zigzag to an earthy Ikat to a soft and lovely trellis pattern like the one Schumacher offers in their Imperial Trellis line.

Schumacher has provided discriminating homeowners with exquisite fabrics for over a century.  The recent collaboration with famed designer, Kelly Wearstler, has resulted in a collection inspired by her world travels and love for everything Asian.  Imperial Trellis offers a trellis design printed on linen and available in 4 colorways including Citrine shown here.Schumacher_Imperial_Trellis  Other geometric patterns by Kelly include Fern Tree, a stylized diamond print, and Emerald Cut, a bold and busy pattern available in 5 unique colors including mandarin red and cool bristol blue.

You don’t have to take a math class again to enjoy using these vibrant patterns and cool linen fabric as draperies in a master bedroom, dining room or formal living room.  And the soft citrine color available in Imperial Trellis will complement the outdoor surroundings of a pool house or sunroom.

Over the years, Schumacher fabrics has partnered with several renowned designers to develop unique and interesting collections. Trina Turk is one of these designers. Her indoor/outdoor collection designed exclusively for Schumacher delivers a youthful and modern selection of color combinations and patterns that have been inspired by the poolside lifestyle so popular in places like Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Her own personal collection of vintage apparel also offered some inspiration.

Bold prints mimicking a garden trellis or a peacock tail are available in invigorating colors of turquoise, yellow and watermelon. A modern interpretation of a zebra print or the restful fronds pattern can tone down the vibrancy of these geometric patterns. There is even a whimsical fish print patterned after a vintage dress. Couple all of these colors and patterns with neutrals of sand dune and charcoal for a sophisticated and pulled together look.
