Named after a road construction business, Hable Construction is a fabric company established in 1999 by sisters and interior designers, Susan Hable and Katharine Hable. The company specializes in the production of hand printed fabrics such as linens and canvass, Hungarian wool felts, and outdoor fabrics constructed from Bella Dura yarns. The out-of-door wovens offered by Hable Construction are produced using a traditional 19th century process. These outdoor fabrics are fade-resistant, weather-proof, and eco-friendly. Hable Construction is also a world-class producer of sophisticated and timeless fabric collections for interior applications. Many of their fabrics are popular for their bold patterns and intricate designs, all imbued with a hand-drawn quality. Skilled artisans work for Hable Construction, ensuring that only traditional silk-screen printing techniques are employed in the design and production processes. While the company produces their beautiful wool felts in Hungary, all the other collections by Hable are 100% US-made. Presently, Hable Construction offers a total of five fabric lines, which are widely distributed in international design showrooms worldwide.

A division of Lee Jofa, Groundworks was established in the mid 1980’s as a contemporary brand, offering textile collections for residential and contract applications. First introduced to compete with the beautiful, traditional chintzes prevalent during the time, Groundworks Fabric has grown into one of the most popular brands of Lee Jofa today. Groundworks specialize in unique, modern-styled fabric collections, available through the most sought after fabric and interior designers today. A few of their most popular and latest offerings include the luxurious Ventana Collection, the exclusive Silhouette Prints, the sophisticated Allegra Hicks collection, and the whimsical Nolita Collection. These Groundworks Fabric collections feature neutrals, bold prints, and an interesting play of color and texture. Groundworks is also known to offer fabric collections with a multicultural vibe, as evidenced by their Kelly Wearstler collection. Widely distributed internationally, Groundworks Fabric brings to market the most memorable textile collections, sourced from the most impressive design inspirations.
