About Bennison Fabric

Known for beautiful hand printed fabrics inspired by 18th century and 19th century English and French styles, Bennison Fabrics has captivated interior designers and decorators with their rich selections of textiles and wallpapers. Spanning 20 years and offering more than 150 designs, Bennison Fabric maintains exclusive printing headquarters in England for their exquisite textiles and wallpapers.

The History of Bennison Fabrics: Bennison Fabrics was launched in 1985, offering fabrics with a fine, hand-printed quality. The fabric collections are patterned from exquisite and original English and French textiles dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. The late Geoffrey Bennison, a well-respected decorator and antique dealer during his time, discovered these textiles; which have now become the basis for the Bennison Fabrics collections beginning its establishment. The past 20 years have seen the company grow into one of the most respected English brands in textile design and production today. Beginning its launching, these textiles are produced using a tradition of original design and quality excellence. This same tradition continues today, as the design and production teams of the company retain the same high standards in terms of hand drawing and silkscreen printing each design. All the designs are painstakingly printed and dyed on linens and silks, which can be custom made according to specifications. Today, the company showcases more than 150 designs, and also offers a lovely collection of wallpapers. Bennison Fabric showrooms are located in Los Angeles, New York, and London.

Bennison Fabrics Collections: Bennison Fabric collections are known for their classic designs and graceful styling. The Chinese Paper collection is an original print on oyster silk, while the Treeflower Stripe is an original on oyster linen. The American Resist collection features beautiful prints on oyster or beige linen, rendered in various shades of blue, faded teal, celadon, dark green, yellow, and dusty pink. Other Bennison Fabric offerings include the Zanzibar oyster linen, Mandalay beige linen, French Twist beige linen, and City Stripe oyster linen. Many of the fabric selections from Bennison Fabric are also offered as wallpaper.

The Latest from Bennison Fabrics: Bennison Fabric collections are featured in magazines and publications across the U.S. and the UK, including The World of Interiors, Country Life, Saturday Telegraph Magazine, Veranda, Elle Decoration, Better Homes and Gardens, and Martha Stewart’s Living magazine. The Avignon Linen by Bennison Fabrics is featured in the October 2011 issue of The World of Interiors, while the Roses Linen Collection is featured in Country Life magazine on September 28, 2011.Bennison Fabric and wallpapers have also graced hotels as well as the home of well-known personality, Cindy Crawford. The Soho Boutique Hotel in London is designed using the Avalon oyster linen and Great Floral fabrics. One of the bedrooms in Cindy Crawford’s house is decorated using an antique screen, while the bed is upholstered using the Hibiscus beige linen. A few of the newest designs by Bennison Fabrics include Dahlia (grey on oyster linen), All Over Floral (pale grey negative on oyster linen), Christmas Roses (on oyster linen), and Pavilion Stripe (green grey on oyster linen).
