About Bausman Furniture

Committed to quality and unrivaled customer service, Bausman & Company has grown into a veritable institution in the furniture design and manufacture industry. Founded by Bob Williams and Craig Johnson in 1971, the brand today is known for beautifully crafted, bench made furniture and upholstery, done in the most exquisite finishes. The integrity of Bausman as company is evidenced by its continuing commitment to the environment, utilizing hard wood and other natural materials from sustainable sources.

Bausman & Company started in 1971 as a humble furniture production facility in Ontario, Canada. The founders, Bob Williams and Craig Johnson, faithfully serves the interior design industry today through their unique take on furniture making, having done so for more than 30 years with their beautiful reproductions of French, English, and Italian style furnishings.  Bausman has enjoyed considerable and steady growth throughout the years so that it is known today as one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality furniture. The company has its headquarters in a 100,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Ontario Canada that allows Bausman to craft their unique furniture collections, from conceptualization and design to complete execution.

Bausman Furniture Line: To ensure that each furniture piece reflects the best in quality and the craftsmanship, the company uses only the finest lumber in all of their creations. Bausman currently offers three distinct kinds of lumber, including Western Alder, African Mahogany, and American Black Walnut. However due to the environmental repercussions in harvesting mahogany, Bausman has chosen to discontinue their mahogany furniture line.  As a furniture manufacturing company, Bausman understands the importance of detailed quality in all of their constructions. This is precisely why the company offers thirteen different kinds of finishes and customizable options to make each piece completely distinctive and customized. The finishes offered by Bausman include stained finishes, painted finishes, oak finishes, walnut & mahogany, iron finishes, painted motifs, hand-painted finishes, pinstripe, outdoor, rush stains, reclaimed alder and etched alder.

Each piece of furniture from Bausman is manufactured and assembled using modern techniques, while the incorporation of modern materials strives to guarantee quality and durability in their bench made furniture. Bench made refers to the practice of producing every single piece of furniture - from start to finish - at the bench of a skilled artisan. This ensures consistency of design and top-notch quality.

Today Bausman produces beautiful tables, armoires, corner cabinets, English mirrors, carved mirrors, plasma TV cabinets, seating, beds, nightstands, and upholstered benches. Moreover, each piece is produced in a sustainable manner. The wood furnishings are hand-made to guarantee quality as well as to ensure that these are manufactured in an environmentally responsible way. Bausman uses lumber from sustainable forests, while the scraps and finishes are recycled accordingly.  Bausman takes pride in the enduring quality of their pieces and the care that they put into each and every customer transaction. Due to their skill and willingness in producing customized pieces for a wide variety of projects and applications, the company has grown to be one of the most trusted prime movers in the design industry.

Excellent in quality and personalized in approach, Bausman is all about furniture making at its finest.
