About Maxine Snider Furniture

One of the most prominent names in furniture design, Maxine Snider is known for her fine handcrafted furniture pieces, customized designs, and exquisite finishes. With the symmetry, versatility, and durability of Maxine Snider Furniture, it’s not surprising why this designer brand is a prime choice for designers, architects, hotels, and celebrities across the globe.

The Maxine Snider Story: The creative force behind Maxine Snider Furniture is designer Maxine Snider, a design professional since 1989. Snider started in the design industry as a painter, having undergone extensive training in this artistic field. She worked as director of design for respected architectural companies, including World Trade Center architect Minoru Yamasaki. After working as design director for a number of elite architectural firms, she went on to establish her own studio on graphics and interior design in the year 1989. The studio focused on producing highly customized furniture designs, which eventually became her forte. In 1997, Snider took off for Paris, spending significant hours in the Musée d’Orsay, before she unleashed her first ever furniture collection. The Paris Series, a ten-piece furniture collection, was introduced a year later. The collection features practical and romantic furniture creations that cemented Snider’s status in the design industry. Taking advantage of her considerable experiences in Interior Design, Maxine Snider is able to produce exquisite originals – furniture within their own spaces, designed to complement with existing architecture. Maxine Snider Furniture collections are beautiful, practical, and matchless in the industry. With more than 60 selections in their present collection, Maxine Snider Furniture reflects the finest of American, European, and Asian design.

Maxine Snider Furniture Collections: The collections of Maxine Snider Furniture include seating, tables, storage and chests, desks, beds, mirrors, as well as a range of customized furniture. Some of the newest products from Maxine Snider include the New Hampshire Settee, Discrete Bar Chair, Library Desk, and Gambit Table. A variety of finishes are available for these furniture collections, which include Ebonized Ash, Deep Brown Ash, Ebonized Cherry, Quartered Maple, Dark Walnut, Bright Gold Leaf, Leather and Metals, and different lacquers and table linings. As a designer, Maxine Snider finds inspiration from a never ending list of things, whether it’s a simple pattern or a complex motif, a movie, or a museum show. Through these experiences, the designer strives to recreate an environment where the appropriate elements come together, by designing unique, beautiful, and functional furniture. As a designer and artist, Snider is relentless. She does her sketches almost anywhere, even while traveling and on vacation, making her one of the most prolific, intuitive designers to date.

Maxine Snider In The Press: The collections of Maxine Snider have been featured in elite design publications all over the United States, including New York Home, Interior Design, Metropolitan Home, Veranda, House & Garden, and House Beautiful. The company is also known for its string of illustrious clients, including architects, hotels and resorts, design firms, businesses, and celebrities. Mitchell, Eric Cohler Design, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Greenbrier Resort, Holmes Newman, Leslie Jones & Associates, Marc-Michaels Interior Design, Ritz Carlton, and Trump Taj Mahal have all worked with Snider and her team.
