About Marian Jamieson Lighting

Marian Jamieson Lighting pieces are all about form and substance. Creating sleek and elegant floor lamps, sophisticated lampshades, and exquisitely-crafted chandeliers and sconces, Marian Jamieson is among the best names in fine furniture production and lighting design. The designer creations, from furniture to lighting, are known for their stunning surfaces and even more beautiful depth.

The Designer behind Marian Jamieson: The personality behind Marian Jamieson Lighting is designer Marnie Jamieson, who launched her own furniture and lighting business in 1999. The Marian Jamieson Furniture & Lighting studio is based in Los Angeles, offering finely crafted furniture and designer lighting to the trade. Jamieson began her forays into the lighting design industry by working at the design firm of Edwin Schlossberg, and eventually landing a spot at J. Robert Scott, under the team of Sally Sirkin Lewis. These experiences shaped the distinctive style of Jamieson as a designer, which combines cutting-edge innovation and a graceful, classic taste in almost all of her Marian Jamieson Lighting creations. Her designs are often described as artful, sleek, and poised, with influences that span nature, architecture, and even vintage pieces found in flea markets and thrift stores.

The Collections of Marian Jamieson: Marian Jamieson Lighting collections are diverse and highly exclusive, including Floor Lamps, Table Lamps, Desk Lamps, and Chandeliers & Sconces. The current selections for their Floor Lamps include Bamboo, Cube, Diamond, Dylan, Gourd, Hex, Hourglass, Martin, Spool, and Twist. Some of their most popular Table Lamps are the Matisse, Paris, and Sophia Lamps, as well as the Marina Table lamp featured at InStyle, and the Cube Table Lamp in House Beautiful.  The Desk Lamps from Marian Jamieson Lighting are among its popular collections as well, with the Gourd Desk Lamps having been featured in Better Homes & Gardens and Seattle Magazine.  Other choices for the Desk Lamps include the Bamboo, Double Ott, Double Terrapin, Equis, and Hourglass models. The Chandeliers & Sconces by Marian Jamieson are also among the finest in the industry, with many of her chandeliers installed in some of the most stylish homes and restaurants across the country. A few of the most popular designer pieces include the Beam Chandelier, Carbon Canyon Sconce, Josephine Chandelier, and the Marina Sconce. While the company introduces new collections regularly, a few customized pieces are also designed for special projects and exclusive requests by designers and architects.

Marian Jamieson Lighting News & Features: The lighting creations of Marian Jamieson have been installed in homes and restaurants all over the country. Interior designer Jamie Herzlinger chose to install a chandelier by Marian Jamieson Lighting for her stylish Arizona home, built with an architectural style inspired by Bauhaus design and 1940 couture. The home of Herzlinger combined the use of exquisite fabrics, feminine accessories and bold, exquisite lighting that gave an original character to every room. A beautiful custom-designed Marian Jamieson Lighting chandelier was commissioned for Abode Restaurant in Santa Monica, California. Marian Jamieson creations have also graced the pages of the best design magazines across the country. The Gourd Desk Lamp was featured in Better Homes & Gardens, the Diamond Floor Lamp and Cube Table Lamp in House Beautiful, and the Ribbed Bullet Lamp in California Home & Design. Connoisseurs Guide and Architectural Digest featured the Twist Floor Lamp and the Beam Chandelier respectively. The Marina Table Lamp was featured at InStyle and the Gourd Desk Lamps in Seattle Magazine.
