About Holly Hunt Furniture
As a leader in the luxury home furnishings industry, Holly Hunt is known for using only the best materials and techniques in furniture production as well as the finest in aesthetic styling. The results are elegant, minimalist furniture collections known worldwide for their versatile timelessness, quality construction, and understated style. While the company started by opening a small Chicago showroom and expanding into fabric design and production, Holly Hunt eventually ventured into furniture design and manufacture. The company today is a purveyor of world-class textiles, furniture, and lighting to the discriminating interior design industry.
The Holly Hunt Story: Holly Hunt, who now sits as CEO after establishing Holly Hunt Company in 1983, started the company herself when she originally purchased a humble showroom business space in Chicago. This small showroom, known as R.J. Randolph, carried Karl Springer design collections. When Holly decided to rename the showroom into her full name, the first Holly Hunt showroom was introduced in 1984. The first showroom carried a variety of collections from some of the finest designers, and within a few years another showroom opened in Minneapolis and the Chicago showroom underwent a major expansion. The company began its forays into furniture designing and production between 1992 and 1993. Two years later the first showroom in New York was opened. Subsequent growth and expansion allowed the company to open more showrooms as well as to diversify into furniture, lighting, rugs, art and accessories, and trims. In 2001 the brand introduced their John Hutton furniture collection. Studio H became the formal brand of the company for beautiful in-house furniture, officially launched in 2002.
Designer Furniture Collections: More than the gorgeous textile offerings of Holly Hunt, the brand is also recognized for the minimalism and distinctive timelessness of their furniture designs. The Holly Hunt Studio collections draw inspiration from both modern and new elements, creating detailed pieces that reflect beauty, balance, and function. The Jean-Michel Wilmotte Collection is recognized for its contemporary appeal, combining wood, metal, and lacquer. The Christophe Pillet Collection reflects the delicate elegance and straightforwardness of the designer's Parisian lifestyle. For 18th century furniture, the brand offers the John Hutton Collection, which combines classic aesthetics and timeless comfort. For one-of-a-kind furniture and art pieces, the Christian Astuguevieille collections are truly impressive; where furniture and art lovers can find an assortment of home furnishings rendered in the most artistic, innovative designs. For elegant, gravity-defying creations, Paul Mathieu offers some of the most interesting pieces in the entire Holly Hunt furniture collection. An international brand, the company has showrooms all over the United States, from Los Angeles to Chicago to New York. International showrooms include locations in Russia and Taiwan.
The Many Accolades of Holly Hunt: For three consecutive years, Holly Hunt has been named the Top Showroom by Home & Garden magazine for their Best of the Best awards. This accolade was awarded to the company after interior designers all over the United States voted for the brand. The designer behind the illustrious name Holly Hunt is also a board member of the School of the Art Institute as well as the National Council of the Aspen Art Museum.
In 2010 Holly Hunt was able to complete its first redesign project on a hotel, which was The Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado. In June 2011 the company celebrated their biggest design launch throughout the history of the brand, also known as NeoCon 2011. And just this 23rd of June, 2011, Holly Hunt paired up with furniture designer Richard Shultz for a new outdoor furniture collection, which reflects the best of classic modernism.
