About Hilliard Lamps
Offering a collection of beautiful lighting fixtures, Hilliard Lamps is able to produce some of the most stunning creations in the market through the expert use of traditional techniques and modern tools. Carefully hand crafted by artisans skilled in the art and intricacies of lamp making, the creations of Hilliard Lamps are both luxurious and versatile.
The Hilliard Lamps Story: Hilliard Lamps is a company selling fine, decorative lighting fixtures, established by Noel Hilliard and his wife, Janene Anderson Hilliard. Both Noel and Janene took up art in college, and later obtained art degrees after completing their studies and training. In an interview with his alma mater, College of the Redwoods, in Humboldt County, California, Noel Hilliard reveals building his first lamp at age 18. Although Hilliard Lamps is in business for more than 30 years, founder Noel Hilliard built his first lamp before he was even twenty, building more as he was serving the Coast Guard, and attending college at College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University. After obtaining his BA degree at Humboldt, he and his wife Janene decided to get serious with this lamp making enterprise, establishing the company as Hilliard Lamps. Today Hilliard Lamps is in business for more than thirty years. Working on the vision of its founders and offering only the finest lighting creations to design and architectural firms worldwide, Hilliard Lamps has grown into the stable, successful company that it is today. Hilliard Lamps showrooms are located in San Francisco and Los Angeles California, New Hope in Pennsylvania, Troy in Michigan, Denver, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Washington DC, Bedford, New York, and in Canada. Nonetheless, production and assembly are maintained at the Hilliard foundry and studio in Northern California.
Hilliard Lamps Collections: The collections of Hilliard Lamps include pendant lighting, which is generally available in the tile and slump varieties, sconces, counter pendants, lanterns, table lamps, custom lamps, and beautiful contemporary billiard lighting.
