Donghia Lighting History:  The history of Donghia dates back to the founding of & Vice Versa in 1968 by Angelo Donghia. This company, carrying fabric and wallpaper offerings, would later evolve to become Donghia Textiles in 1980. Due to the success of this textile company, the very first showroom was opened in Los Angeles in 1976. Two years later the furniture line was established, carrying top-of-the-line furniture and casepieces to the trade. Angelo Donghia passed away in 1985 and in 2005 the company was acquired by the Rubelli Group. A premier textile designer and manufacturer from Venice, the Rubelli Group eventually expanded the offerings of Donghia to include accessories and leather products. Donghia Lighting is one of the more popular offerings under the Donghia Accessories line.

The complete collections of Donghia are comprised of textiles, wall covering, upholstery, case pieces, accessories, leather, and other represented lines. Donghia Lighting is offered through their accessories collections, which are all carefully crafted by hand by Venetian artisans. Originality and sophistication characterize these lighting accessories, which are all made using a centuries-old technique of glass blowing popular in Venice during the earlier centuries. This has enabled Donghia Lighting to produce highly sophisticated lamps and sconces, designed to meet the design requirements of both classic and contemporary environments.

Donghia Lighting Features: Donghia Lighting collections as well as the upholstery and casepieces offerings of Donghia have been featured in several editorials, publications, and design magazines. For 2009, their collections have been featured in Town & Country, House Beautiful, Elle Décor and Veranda. 2010 saw furniture and accessory pieces from Donghia published in Architectural Digest, Luxe, Veranda and Elle Décor, and for 2011 the company gained bigger publicity through editorials in House Beautiful, Design NJ, Azure, Interior Design, and Coastal Living, among others.
