About Clarence House Fabric

Featuring vibrant colorways, graphic prints, and an original artistry that can only be described as incomparable, Clarence House Fabric prides itself in being a style-setter in the decorative textile trade. Headquartered in New York and distributed throughout its international markets, the fabrics of Clarence House are exclusively available from interior decorators, interior designers, and architects.

The Story behind Clarence House Fabrics: Robin Roberts, New York interior designer, is the driving force behind Clarence House Fabrics, establishing the company in 1961. Roberts believed that by combining artistry and technical expertise, it was possible to create textile designs that really endure. Clarence House Fabrics started its operations by importing distinctive European fabrics and selling them to the American market. Many of these European textiles have a unique quality and aesthetic style, most of which have never been seen or used in the U.S. interior design industry.  When art director Kazumi Yoshida joined the company, Clarence House Fabric began the in-house production of their decorative textiles. While many of their designs are inspired by European fabrics and textile archives, art director Yoshida maintains full control on the development and execution of the designs. Clarence House Fabric worked to incorporate artistic, original details into some of the most classic designs available. Today the company maintains its headquarters in New York, while sixteen showrooms are found in design centers all over the U.S. Clarence House Fabrics moreover has international showrooms spread across Australia, Canada, London, and Greece.

Clarence House Fabrics Collections A top choice of many of the world's top interior designers, Clarence House Fabrics is renowned for the quality of their fabrics and wallpapers.  There are fabrics best suited for indoor applications and outdoor use. Velvets, wovens, prints, sheers, and silks are designed in the most interesting, trail-blazing patterns. The Clarence House Fabric collections for outdoor installations are available in a remarkable array of plains, florals, geometric themes, animal skin patterns, and abstract figures. For wallpapers, design options include raffia, tightweaves, stripes, and plains in various colorways. Clarence House Fabrics is also known for its collections, including the Etro Collection and the Jean Monro Ltd Collection. The Neisha Crosland Collection features both fabrics and wallpapers. The newest collections from Clarence House include prints, wovens, velvets, outdoor textiles, sheer, and Etro fabrics in the most luscious prints and inviting designs. Each design is a product of intense conceptualization and pure artistic work, making Clarence House Fabric a highly coveted name in the industry of decorative textiles.

The company has been featured in every important design magazine in the industry and their fabrics can be found in museums and countless historic houses everywhere. The in-house artistic director of the Clarence House Fabric, Kazumi Yoshida, has also been featured in Elle Décor and praised for his colorful yet serene approach to fabric design. With more than 50 showrooms across the States, these exquisite textiles are also available in showrooms all over North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Clarence House Fabrics is quite simply known for quality and style; where material, color, and texture all meet together to produce some of the most inventive designs the decorative fabric industry has seen.
