The fabrics of Brunschwig & Fils are known for having a classic elegance inspired by timeless designs from the past.  Their designs can be traced back to the years in World War II, in which the wife of the founder of this company had to make do without access to France and their products and had to start using several different kinds of cloth and mills and weavers located in the United States. Due to the great acclaim their fabrics enjoyed during that time, after the war the company started to include new elements into their production line. A great step that was taken by Brunschwig & Fils during that time was collaborating with historians and museums to create fabrics that were rooted in tradition. That is why many of their designs are hundreds of years old and are woven with the original equipment used in those times. Their collections have been associated with various museums in Paris and in the United States.
